Collaboration between students from the Curt Nicolin Gymnasiet School in Sweden and Miguel Altuna
From December 9 to 11, CIFP Miguel Altuna LHII hosted a dynamic educational exchange with students from Curt Nicolin Gymnasiet in Sweden as part of the LCAMP alliance.
During this collaboration, students from Curt Nicolin Gymnasiet partnered with Miguel Altuna’s Electrical and Automatic Installations program to work on a hands-on project centered around photovoltaic technology—an essential field in today’s energy transition.
The exchange aimed to enhance technical expertise while promoting cultural and academic interaction between the two groups. To achieve this, practical, interactive activities were organized, fostering both learning and social engagement among participants.
On the first day, students engaged in a group presentation activity guided by specific questions, which helped break the ice and create a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere.
They then tackled a technical challenge: identifying errors in electrical diagrams for photovoltaic installations. This task required them to spot inconsistencies in the diagrams, analyze potential solutions, and implement the necessary corrections.
The day concluded with a lively Kahoot quiz to test the knowledge gained.
On the second day, the group toured the facilities of CIFP Miguel Altuna LHII. Following the visit, the students worked together with their local counterparts to assemble small boards, promoting collaboration and hands-on learning.
On the final day, the group visited Mondragon Assembly, a leading Basque company specializing in automation and assembly, where they gained firsthand insights into the operations of an innovative technological enterprise.
To round off the experience, they embarked on a cultural tour of Bergara, which included a visit to the Laboratorium, the city’s renowned museum.
The overall feedback from both students and teachers was overwhelmingly positive. All objectives were successfully achieved: introducing students to photovoltaic technology, fostering teamwork and cultural exchange, and strengthening international connections.
